Can I invest more that R100?

Yes you can, you can invest any amount you wish in multiples of R100 – we recommend that you start your portfolio with R1 000.

Once I have opened my account and deposited my initial investment, can I add further investments?

Yes you can, you can invest more money whenever you wish, in fact we recommend that you invest additional funds regularly, a monthly amount is a good way to go. You would be amazed how these small amounts build up over time.

Can I lose money by investing in Wealth Builder?

It is almost impossible to end up poorer by investing in Wealth Builder, the moment you have 3 people in your chain (investing the same amount as you did) then your investment account will be equal to the amount you originally invested.

Can I only have 10 people on each level of my investor chain?

No, you can have as many as you like, in fact we encourage you to grow each level as much as you can as then you will maximise your network’s return.

Once my investor chain has reached 3 levels, can I start a new chain?

There is no need, we recommend that you continue adding investors on the first level of your network so as to grow your network, simply spread the word whenever you get the chance.

Will my investment participate on the Stock Exchange immediately?

The moment your investment account reaches a value of R5 000, we will add it to our investment portfolio, management fees are too costly to handle smaller amounts.

What type of investments are chosen?

Investment funds in Wealth Builder are split, 50% are invested in ‘safe’ investments (Blue Chip) and 50% are invested in medium to high risk investments to maximise return.

If my investment funds never reach R5 000, will I still get my money back?

Yes, whatever the balance on your investor account, you can withdraw it after 5 years, but it would be sad if you cannot take full advantage of the programme, please try hard to develop your investor network.

When can I withdraw my investment?

You can withdraw your investment after 5 years, but we recommend that you don’t, rather hold onto your investment and try to live off the income it generates.

What happens to the income my investment generates?

You have the choice of withdrawing the earnings from your investment annually or reinvesting them. We strongly recommend that you choose to re-invest.

Is growth guaranteed?

Your funds are invested on the South African Stock Exchange which has a very good record of growth. However as with all stock markets there are times when the stock market takes a dip and then your investment may not grow for a while (until the stock market rebounds). It is important therefore to take a long term view.
